About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Events Designer who will manage, mentor and develop our award-winning creative team in order to deliver state of the art trade shows, as well as digital and hybrid events for our corporate clients in the B2B sector. Working from our Amsterdam office, you will lead a team of 4-6 designers based in the Netherland and Poland working in different spatial, graphic and digital design projects for one of the most sustainable technology brands in the planet. This position requires a highly collaborative and empathic person as well as a master communicator who is comfortable leading conceptual thinking process and sharing feedback.

What you will do:
Build and communicate a creative vision for trade show and event design that aligns with brand and business goals
Inspire, mentor, and coach a team of designers, fostering their growth and ensuring a culture of creativity and collaboration
Be responsible for the development of each team member, collecting feedback and sharing it with each team member through weekly 1:1 sessions (or as often as needed), taking part in performance evaluations, salary reviews and promotion processes, as well as co-creating development paths for/with designers
Ensure high-quality, innovative design solutions for event spaces, booths, trade show assets, wayfinding systems
Drive the creation of magical, engaging experiences that resonate with event audiences and elevate the brand
Set and uphold standards in graphic design, ensuring consistency and excellence in visual outputs
Collaborate closely with external stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into creative concepts
Oversee end-to-end design processes, from initial concept development to final execution
Manage project timelines, preparing cost estimates and ensure the team meets deadlines while maintaining creative integrity
Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and agencies when needed
Job requirements
We look forward to working together if:
You have at least 5 years of combined experience in a range of design fields including graphic and spatial design
You have a stunning portfolio of work showcasing an array of projects within the areas specified above
You have had experience leading a team of creative professionals and felt you had a vocation for it
You are a master in Adobe Creative Suite
You are an empathetic listener and a master communicator, with excellent time-management and organisational skills
You have the ability to bounce back out of challenging situations through kindness, compassion and a good sense of humor
You are fluent in English
